Found in Nesles, a small village located in northern France...a large French vintage zinc creel, circa 1910-1930s, with hinged lid, sliding opening riveted on the inner side of the lid, and swing handle. Some remains of green paint; 2-tone old zinc shows its beauty (the piece isn't galvanized but made of full zinc). The front lock and back hinge show some minor rusting and minor flaws, typical with early vintage pieces. Great for display or leave lid open and use with a potted plant. Measures 7½" tall to trim, 9½" x 6¾" wide on top and 10½" x 9" at the base. A bit heavy, weighing 1.395 kg. (3 lbs).
