Beautiful white ironstone advertising crock with unique screw threaded lid. Circa 1890 – 1910. In excellent condition considering age and use; no chips, cracks. Some light staining to the ironstone due to age and use. Used to ship and store homemade fish paste that was made from salted, smoked herrings called "bloaters". Pottery maker mark on the bottom is difficult to read. Crock measures 4 inches tall overall; base measures 2.75 inches in diameter. Add to your collection!
