Found in England, this vintage GALLOWAY preserved cream ironstone advertising jar from Scotland is in good clean condition. The decorative pot has the original transfer on the front in black lettering under the glaze and has the company's logo, Cream O'Galloway and an open leaf design. Circa very early 1900s. In very good antique condition considering age and use; no chips or cracks. Impressed stoneware jar makers mark with number 3 is noted along the bottom edge (see photo). Stranraer is a village town in Galloway, Scotland.
Jar/pot measures 4.5" tall; base diameter 2". Opening at top has a diameter of 1.25". Heavy in weight. Lovely addition to your collection. Perfect size vase on a table or counter filled with some sprigs of fresh flowers.
